Hypothyroidism and myasthenia gravis: A rare association

چکیده

The prevalence of endocrinopathies during myasthenia is relatively common. association with dysthyroidism can make the diagnosis these two conditions difficult, because similaritý some clinical signs. Several disorders specifically thyroid immunologic origin have beeń reported in myasthenic patients. This relationship remains poorly elucidated, but an cross-reaction between neuromuscular junction and components has been found Graves' disease. It generally accepted that hyperthyroidism much more frequent than hypothyroidism. However, no clear explanation proposed for this difference. We report case a 28-year-old patient who was initially followed under anticholinesterase therapy whose evolution marked by discovery hypothyroidism follow-up. responded well to replacement good evolution.
